1 The Austrian flag is one of the oldest national flag in the world. According to a legend the flag was designed after a tough battle during the third Crusade, by Duke Leopold V. After the battle his clothes were completely soaked with blood, but when he pulled the belt has seen the material remained white. Duke was impressed by the scene and adopted as flag colors
